Let me start off by thanking you for reading this.

Every dollar raised will go towards my parents and sisters medical care.

I’m Alyson oldest daughter of Mike and Kathy and Ashley’s sister , On Dec 15 my mom Kathy went into the ER what we expected to be a normal COPD/Congestive heart failure situation and she would be home in a few days turned into a septic infection. My mom is now on oxygen and a bi-pap Machine the next step is intubation problem is her lungs will probably not be able to handle removing the breathing tub this time. While dealing with my moms situation my dad Mike went to his doctors office on Friday morning Dec 18 Saturday night he was rushed to the ER in horrible pain due to an underlined stomach problem while in the ER he was told he had Covid-19 with no symptoms we thought the test was wrong! A few days later it was confirmed yes he had covid and he got it from his doctors office. on Dec 21 my dad was was sent home still only with the stomach pain and cold like symptoms. He was advised to rest test again in a few days and the reach out to his doctor to continue care for his stomach. On Dec 24th my dad was sent back to the ER again told us he was having mild covid symptoms but because of the stomach pain he was admitted, fast forward till Dec 28 all day he was saying he was having trouble breathing and taking a deep breath in his IV had blown and he was bleeding bad he was light headed and dizzy it took over 4 hours of requesting help on a covid floor that was extremely short staffed at this point it was to late my dad needed to be intubated. He now has a MARS infection as well as on several medications including blood pressure and several antibiotics. As if my parents situation didn’t have me already completely overwhelmed my sister who went with my dad to that Doctor appt tested positive she is not a smoker and is only 29 years old yet on Jan 1 on her forth trip to the ER for having trouble breathing is a few rooms down from my dad in the ICU intubated.

*my moms, doctors have informed me that things are not looking good for her and if she does make it out of the hospital this time she will need long term care as she is now fully dependent on the care of others.

*my dad and sister, while doctors keep telling me think positive and I am. Truth is they will need a lot of care after being released from the hospital.

health insurance will only cover 20 days of a nursing home or part time in home care and no medical equipment. Long term medical rehabilitation centers are covered for about 34 days. Average cost per day in a nursing home is 180-200 dollars starting at day 21. Medical Rehab is based on what care is needed as well as room and board fee.

while I have no magic ball to look into the future and I am praying with all of my heart for the best possible outcome, no way can I personally take care of any of them alone 24/7 and I could never afford the bills that are going to be in my near future.

I am forever grateful for everyone who sends a good thought, prayer, dollar or just shares my story. I will do my very best to post updates weekly (sooner if possible) I'm all 3's care proxy and I have a toddler so truth is I am a bit overwhelmed but at the same time finding out how strong I actually am I WILL NOT GIVE UP ON MY FAMILY.

*on 1/5 my mom was moved to the ICU and intubated. Her blood pressure, kidneys and lungs could not handle everything her body shut down and on 1/7 with my little brother and I holding her hand my mom got her wings.

On 1/9 after being told my dad was “status quo” for days no real update and not allowed in the hospital I was told get here sooner then later. After arriving still getting no real answers I was told my dad was in kidney failure and would be a vegetable if we left him on life support. I was trying to ask every possible question I could think of at that moment and ultimately we lost our dad just 2 days after losing our mom, and my sister still in the ICU.
