Honoring Dave: Farewell to The Wooden Chicken

With heavy hearts, we are saying farewell to one of our neighborhood monuments—The Wooden Chicken Pub and to its wonderful owner, Dave Alderton. In the spirit of a proper send-off, we are reaching out to the community to reciprocate the love Dave has fostered with us all.

In business for over 40 years, the Wooden Chicken has touched the lives of so many. Countless memories, friends, and relationships have been made and enjoyed within its walls. Throughout the last days of operation, we have all been bittersweetly reminded of all the love our community has for Dave and the Chicken.

We're looking to our friends and neighbors to ease this transition and repay the blood, sweat, and tears that have gone into the many years of operation.
