Peace in Christ!
We are contemplative sisters of the order Servants of the Lord and the Virgin of Matará (https://www.servidorasdelsenor.org/en) , a missionary order part of the religious family of the Incarnate Word. Our charism is the prolongation of the Incarnation in "every man, in all men and in every manifestation of man", according to the teachings of the Magisterium of the Church. As our specific and singular end, we strive to dedicate ourselves to evangelization of the culture.
We would like to ask for your support once again in furthering the splendor and beauty of the church through the sacred arts. Thanks be to God, three of our sisters will have the opportunity in a couple of weeks to attend a three week course on wood carving and carpentry given by a family (originally a group of Italian Artists) who are now settled and continue their master woodworking in Spain (http://jimenezhijos.com/index.html). And while they specialize in all types of woodworking, our goal is to create art for our churches that truly express the dignity and splendor of the Divine Beauty.
We ask for your help because as religious, with our vow of poverty, we rely completely on Divine providence in every aspect of our lives. Know that God is never outdone in generosity and that He, who forgets not even the sparrow, will continue to bless you for all your help!
If you would like to contact us, please feel free to email us at [email redacted]
