Wonderpuff On Our Minds

Donation protected
This year, Wonderpuff turns four years old. In that time, we’ve been blessed enough to experience indescribable friendships, form lasting connections, and receive profoundly moving support. It's the reason why we’re again working on crowdfunding to sustain Wonderpuff for the months and years to come. The last year has been a challenge for all of humanity--family members have lost loved ones, working from home has presented new challenges for parents juggling jobs, and politics have driven a wedge in nearly all we do. Yet, we continue to hold each other up in ways both familiar and new.

Rem and I recently shared the news of the loss of our daughter, Juniper. It’s been a time that has been difficult to put into words--the grief seems to wait for us at odd hours of the day and we try to cope as best we could. We’ve felt honored to have the love and support of our family and friends and community nearby and we’ve made our arrangements to properly send Juni off and do right by her. The two hours we spent with her in the hospital were our proudest moments as parents, and we cherish that time like no other. We felt it was necessary to share our story during the National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month of October so that parents who have experienced similar know that they are not alone.

Love, support, and sugar. These things have helped Wonderpuff thrive in times of great stress and hardship, and we hope with this GoFundMe campaign we can continue to be blessed with the love and support we’ve experienced for so long. The community we’ve gotten to be part of and grow within has been supremely loving. Rem and I were excited to share our daughter with the world Wonderpuff has been part of, but life has a way of changing plans. It’s been difficult to process and navigate our grief while juggling our own business but ultimately we want to be here for our people who have been here for us. Our plan was to start this campaign before everything transpired, but much like the pandemic, unexpected tragedy changed our course.

We want you to know that we feel so loved by the community. It’s the love and light that exist here that make it possible to cope with grief, and we hope during this time we can find the support to thrive not only as a business, but as people first.
