My name is, David DePriest, and I am raising money to help my friend, Danielle Soncasie.
Despite being born with physical birth defects affecting her right foot, spending most of her adolescence in the Shriners Hospital for Children St. Louis, and becoming a below knee amputee in her early teens, she obtained a degree in Cosmetology, and has worked as a Stylist and makeup artist for the past ten years.
In early 2020, she had the opportunity to open her own salon, and after selling her car for startup capitol, she was able to begin her dream of owning her own salon. She is currently the only stylist, and her work is able to support the salon and allow it to function and grow little by little as we work through the covid-19 pandemic. That being said, This is not a "covid-19 is ruining my business." issue.
However, at the beginning of September 2020, she was informed that she was losing her disability benefit, that covered her rent and a fair portion of her utilities. She is currently appealing this decision, but as we all know, with the government, and especially now with covid, everything takes FOREVER.
So what I am attempting to do, is raise a year or mores worth of funds to help her with her monthly expenses.
Danielle is one of the hardest working girls I know, and she has never allowed her disability to slow her down of keep her from working hard to earn anything that she has. I know she will probably hate me for doing all this, but she is worth it, and I will do all that I can to help her.
