Womens Pro Motocross - World Vet MX
Donation protected
We are a small family owned motorcycle parts & accessories business in Central Ohio.
We are raising money to send 4 professional women to the 32nd Annual Dubya World Vet Championship at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, CA. The riders we are trying to help are Jessica Patterson (Florida/Yamaha), Steffi Laier (Belguim/KTM), Birgit Lemp-Schelkle (Illinois, originally from Germany/Kawasaki) and Tami Rice-Greenhill (California/Suzuki)
The funds with be used for transportation to the race (airfare, car rental, bike transport) as well as hotel rooms for the riders as well. We will be there with a trailer to get bikes to and from the track as well as help with getting suspension set up for each rider. A part of the funds, depending on how much is raised, will also be used as part of the pro purse for the womens class at this event in November 2016.
The funds are needed as soon as possible so that we can start purchasing airline tickets, arranging bike transportation and making hotel reservations.
Our family enjoys all sorts of motorcycle events with an emphasis on motocross. Although we enjoy watching and helping everyone from 4 year olds on 50cc bikes to the pros, we don't believe the women in this sport get the recognition and respect they deserve. We helped to promote this event in 2015 (the first year they offered a womens pro class) and hope to help get more women involved and more attention to them as well.
We cannot thank anyone enough for ANY donation they are able to make. These are a great bunch of professional women motocrossers that give it their all to the sport and deserve the attention and respect! Come on out to Southern California the first weekend of November and attend a GREAT event!!!
