<div>Hi, my name is Jenna Gibson, and I am a World Champion windsurfer. I was named after 7-times World record holder Jenna DeRosnay. Now I want to claim a World speed record of my own.

<div>I have 4 World titles in slalom racing and now it feels like the right time to try to go for the speed world record. I started speed sailing at the start of this year, after showing natural speed on the international circuit. I gave this new discipline a go and it would seem I'm not too shabby - Vice Speed World Champion at my first event.

<div>With this in mind there is only one place to go. Luderitz in Namibia, where there is a custom speed canal built with one purpose: breaking speed records. Every current speed record is set there. It is the only place to go if you're serious about speed records.

<div>The time trial competition is very expensive, getting there is even more expensive and then specialist equipment is also needed. Every penny I raise will be spent on this world record attempt.
</div>
