The Women’s Decathlon Association is excited to build on the success of last year’s National Championship by hosting our own standalone National Championship on June 22-23, 2019 at College of San Mateo in the greater San Francisco area.
Although the women’s decathlon has been recognized as an event by the IAAF for over 15 years, the lack of competitive opportunities have meant that women have been denied the opportunity to compete for the title of “World’s Greatest Athlete” because of their gender.
The Women’s Decathlon Association seeks to increase both the number of competitive opportunities for female decathletes and the prize money available at these events.
Our operating expenses for our National Championship are estimated at $4,000. We are hoping to cover this amount through individual donors, allowing us to use corporate sponsorships to cover the prize money.
Your donation will not only support this event, it will send a message to the world that fans are interested in the women’s decathlon.
Donors who contribute up to $99 will be recognized as bronze level donors.
Donors who contribute $100-$299 will be recognized as silver level donors.
Donors who contribute $300 or more will be recognized as gold level donors.
