Womens Cottage - Domestic Violence Support Space

We are The Women's Cottage (Hawkesbury Area Women's & Kids Services Inc.) We support women experiencing domestic violence and other forms of emotional distress or trauma. We provide crisis counselling, casework, advocacy, referral, support, material support and groups for survivors of violence and abuse. Last year we provided over 4,000 occasions of service!
We have been running for over 35 years and we are bursting at the seams!
Even before COVID we have had to limit service provision because of lack of space. We need your support to help us create more space to meet the needs of vulnerable women and children.
We already have a $75k state government grant and are matching this with $75k of our own funds to put towards an extension so we can see more women , run more groups and have a safe place for children to play.
But we are only part way there!! We need community support to fund a community kitchen, accessible toilet and laundry, window coverings, carpets, children’s play equipment and furniture.
All your donations big and small will make a big difference in helping to bring safety and support to the lives of women and children in need.
