Women's Mini Marathon for Swords Educate Together

For many years, the school Mammies of Swords Educate Together National School, have laced up, trained and run the VHI Women's Mini Marathon. Every June Bank holiday weekend, the Mammies have boarded a bus to join with 30,000 women to walk, jog or run 10kms. We line the streets of Dublin City Centre and get that distance covered. We've experienced wind, heavy downpours and scorching sun (sometimes all in the one afternoon), but we do it all for a very special reason. We do it for our incredible school, our amazing staff and our fantastic kids.  
These past few months have seen the cancellation or indefinite postponement of many big events including the Mini Marathon. It also saw the cancellation of our big school fundraiser which was due to take place in April. However, we are not allowing Covid-19 to stop us! In true Mammy style we have decided to lace up once more and get our 10kms done. On Sunday 31st May, we will take to the streets of Swords. Although we will run apart this year, we will be united in our cause.  We will make sure to run within our 5km radius.
