On April 7th, 2018 Black Lives Matter Hudson Valley and #100Sistas will be raising the banner asking for all New Yorkers to turn out and march in solidarity with Black women and girls to fight against systemic oppression that is stealing our livelihoods and our lives! Join us in an act of love, celebrating our resilience living outside of NYC. The contributions of Black women in the Hudson Valley has gone invisible for far too long!
Black Women's March: Continuing the Legacy of Harriet Tubman is centering the narrative of Harriet Tubman, a revolutionary women that lead hundreds to freedom, supported the development of commerce for Black people, strategized to end the enslavement of millions of Black people all while managing her own disabilities.
Hundreds of people will come out to join this historic event including people with disabilities and potentially getting arrested to help send a clear message about the racism that is killing Black women, girls and attacking the Black family.
We are turning to the community to help us fund raise for two key things:
1. Motorized wheelchairs that can help make the march accessible to EVERYONE.
2. Bail fund for people participating in Civil Disobedience
PLEASE help by making donations, sharing this message far and wide but most importantly, showing up on April 7th! Please connect with the Blackline for more details: www.callblackline.com
