Ready for HD Close Ups?
Hi friends!  If you've seen any of my recent videos, then you might have noticed that I have borrowed some cool new gear to get some really amazing video quality (when security lets me!)  The truth is, I've actually been filming concerts with the same model of camera for the past 9 years (albeit 4 cameras of the same model), and while my trusty Canons have never let me down,  when Tegan and Sara announced this very special Con X tour, I wanted to make sure that I could bring you the absolute best picture and sound quality possible.  I did a ton of research and spoke to a number of different experts, and I ended up renting and buying a variety of cameras, microphones, and other gear to try out -- which is why the picture and sound quality has varied for the past 9-10 shows I've recorded.

If you like what you've been seeing, I would be incredibly grateful for any help you might be willing to give to help me cover the cost of the rentals I've been working with -- and hopefully, at the end, to purchase one of these new models to keep for future shows (since as of right now, they need to go back November 6!)  The funds will help to cover the rentals I have used on the Con X tour thus far, possible rentals for the rest of the Con X tour, and hopefully a new camera purchase in the end so that I can continue to bring you the highest-quality videos possible!  Any additional funds will go towards all of the other expenses that help me to bring all of these videos to you -- hotel wifi, spare batteries, larger memory cards, a new external hard drive to store all of this stuff (my 2TB, 3TB, and 4TB drives are all full!) and so on.  I am proud that my YouTube channel has been a free concert archive for fans for so many years, and I want to keep improving it for the years to come!

A Bit More About Me
When I started filming concerts twelve years ago (at first, with my actual *film* camera, haha) it was because I thought that all of the crazy things Tegan and Sara did and said onstage were too awesome and hilarious not to be memorialized and shared with the world.  I had no idea at the time that YouTube was about to be introduced to the world, and that my funny little hobby would turn into an insane archive of thousands of videos, documenting the evolution of Tegan and Sara's stage shows, as well as those of dozens of other artists I loved and followed.

In the ten years since I started my YouTube channel, I have loved both bringing concerts to people who could not get to the shows themselves and helping fans who were there to re-live what for them was an incredibly special night in their lives.  I live for being there to capture the tiny intimate moments between bands and fans, because I know just how much it means to be able to have that moment forever.  I also delight in capturing those moments between band members -- to memorialize a moment of time in their history that may never occur again as they change and grow or split up and fade away.  Live music is such an incredible, emotional, rapidly-changing experience that I feel honored to be able to memorialize it and to share it.  I'll never stop working  to make sure that the videos  I am bringing to you and to the world are the best that I can offer.
