WNC Firewood Project
Donation protected
Greetings, I’m Don @ Macon One, a forestry equipment dealer located in Western North Carolina. We are organizing events aimed at processing firewood for those who require assistance, with the goal of producing and distributing hundreds of cords to help people stay warm during the winter months. The operation of these machines comes with high costs, and although we are making a substantial contribution, we would greatly appreciate any support. These machines can split two cords of wood per hour, allowing us to potentially process between 20 and 30 cords over a weekend event. We plan to carry out this initiative at several sites across Western Carolina. We have wheel loaders available to transport the logs onto the deck, and there is an abundance of wood throughout the region that we are able to process.
We are also looking for donations to assist with expenses for fuel, machine operation and maintenance, as well as bar oil and chains.
Additionally, we request local tree companies and contractors to drop off logs at specified locations during our events so we can split them efficiently.
Our aim is to produce hundreds of cords of firewood for those in need this winter season. Thank you for your support and for helping us spread the word. The more contributions we can gather, the greater the number of cords we will be able to supply.
