German Version: My Story:
Hallo, liebe Unterstützer,
ich bin Joachim Henning, 59, Logopäde, und bin mit Aleksandar und seiner Familie schon seit vielen Jahren befreundet. Ich habe diese Kampagne gestartet, um ihm auf dem Weg zu seiner Berufung zu helfen.
Und hier kommt er jetzt zu Wort :
Mein Name ist Aleksandar und ich komme aus Norddeutschland. Ich bin 17 Jahre alt und werde im Oktober 18.
Ich freue mich, ab Anfang September in Großbritannien ein renommiertes Internat zu besuchen.
Das engl. Internat hat mir aufgrund meiner freiwilligen medizinischen Praktika, in denen ich von Ärzten hohe Anerkennung bekam, ein soziales Teilstipendium gewährt.
Aus gesundheitlichen und wirtschaftlichen Gründen, ist es meiner alleinerziehenden Mutter gegenwärtig nur begrenzt möglich, die restlichen Kosten zu stemmen.
Seit Januar 2018 weiß ich aufgrund eines Schulpraktikums, dass ich unbedingt Chirurg werden möchte.
Seitdem habe ich über 30 Operationen beigewohnt und sah hunderte Patienten kommen und gehen. Sowohl im Gespräch mit Experten, als auch privat habe ich mich weiter fortgebildet.
Sowohl auf Stationen, als auch in der Notaufnahme habe ich viel Erfahrung gesammelt. Seit 2019 darf ich unter Aufsicht des Chefarztkollegiums bei Routineeingriffen wie der Colektomie, der Appendektomie, dem Ein- und Ersetzen von Gelenken und anderweitigen Operationen teilnehmen.
Unter Aufsicht des jeweiligen diensthabenden Arztes befunde ich bereits Röntgenaufnahmen und weitere diagnostische Aufnahmen (MRT, CT).
Mein Ziel ist es, in England meinen Schulabschluss fertigzustellen, da ich nach jetzigem Stand im deutschen Bildungssystem kaum eine Chance haben werde, für meinen Traumberuf zu studieren.
Ich bin notentechnisch nicht erstklassig, zeichne mich aber in meiner Freizeit durch soziale und engagierte Tätigkeiten und Fleiß im medizinischen Bereich aus.
Bereits Monate vor Beginn meiner Herbstferien, die ich in Deutschland verbringen werde, habe ich mehrere Praktikumsstellen zur Verfügung gestellt bekommen.
Die Zusage und das Teilstipendium am Internat grenzt an ein Wunder und ich bin sehr dankbar für diese einmalige Chance.

I am a longtime friend of Aleksandar's family I would like to support him with this campaign to get closer to his dream of becoming a doctor. My name is Joachim, 69, a speech therapist and I come from Hamburg. Now to Alex:
My name is Alexander and I come from Northern Germany. I'm 17 years old and I'll be 18 in October.
I am looking forward to attending a renowned boarding school in GB in the beginning of September.
The english boarding school granted me a partial social scholarship because of my voluntary medical internships.
For health and economic reasons, my single mother is currently only able to cover the remaining costs to a limited extent.
Since January 2018 I have known that I really want to become a surgeon because of a school internship. Since then, I've seen over 30 surgeries and hundreds of patients come and go. I received further training both in discussions with experts and privately. I have gained a lot of experience both in wards and in the emergency room.
Since 2019 I have been allowed to participate in routine interventions such as cholectomy, appendectomy, the insertion and replacement of joints and other operations under the supervision of the board of the chief surgeons. Under the supervision of the doctor on duty, I am already diagnosing X-rays and other diagnostic images (MRI, CT).
It is my goal to finish my school leaving certificate in England, because as things stand in the German, due the education system I will hardly have a chance to study for my dream job. I am not first class in terms of grades, but in my free time I distinguish myself through social and committed activities and hard work in the medical field.
Even now, months before the start of my autumn vacation, which I will be spending in Germany, I received several internship positions.
The acceptance and the partial scholarship is a miracle and I am very grateful for this unique opportunity.
