Lewis & Family Battle Brain Cancer

Lewis (Louie) Thayer is my nephew, my brother Pat and sister-in-law Lorna's oldest son. He will be 35 on November 3. He and his adorable wife Kathleen have four sweet children: Zach is 9,  Isaac is 7, Vincent is 5, and little Shelby is 3. Lewis was diagnosed with brain cancer just over a year ago and has been fighting it--and meningitis--since then. 

Louie and Kathleen are both hard-working young people who have parents, brothers, a sister, a grandma, aunts, uncles, cousins and so many others who love them so much. We are all pitching in as much as we can as Louie and Kathleen continue to seek the best treatments available to help this loving family be healthy again. There have been so many wonderful people offering their support and prayers. His boss has been trying to raise money by selling brain cancer awareness t-shirts, and their community has had fund-raisers to help them with the costs of treatments.

Louie and Kathleen still have a long road ahead of them. While our whole family and friends continue to support them as they go through these tough times, there are still more bills to pay and young mouths to feed. Kathleen is still able to work when she is not taking Louie to appointments and treatments, as they seek the best possible doctors to help him beat this. We are hoping we can help them out a little more with this effort.
