Johnny Vieira Braz
Johnny or "Shaga" (Portuguese for dude) Is a 31 years old twin, his family describe him as a loving and hardworking guy, who's full of life and enjoys teasing people around all the time.
On September 2nd Johnny suffered a tragic car accident, resulting in several injuries in his spine that compromise his ability to walk, after an initial 9 hours surgery Johnny's situation remains unclear. In the following days Johnny must face at least another surgery, and the timing couldn't be worse.
Johnny lives in Venezuela, a country with the highest inflation in the world, with severe problems on the health system, insurance sector, medical and food supplies, amongst others. We have done incredible efforts to find the materials needed for the first surgery, at the expense of our own savings, due to the inability from the insurance companies to cover the actuals costs of the health care today.
As of today, the medicals bills ascend up to 16,000 US dollars, but it will take more than 10 years to cover those expenses with the current salary levels in Venezuela. Considering the second surgery he has to undertake, and the subsequent rehabilitation program, we have no choice but to look for outside aid and collaborations in order to help Johnny walk again.
Today we reach out to you to help us raise USD 50,000 US dollars, that will be used to pay for all the medical bills and the rehabilitation program, plus any further medicine or material needed that we need to bring from outside the country.
Everyone who had the privilege of knowing Johnny can corroborate that he is noble at heart, very kind and generous. He will without a doubt be the first person to offer help to anybody whenever they need it. Ironically, today he needs us more than ever, he needs you more than ever.
He is blessed to have a loving and supporting family, and it's our wish to try to lessen the financial burden as much as possible, so that Johnny can concentrate on his health and therapy in order to walk again.

PD: I am Sandra Gomes, his cousin, as I know the power and huge reach of this type of platform, I talked with Johnny's direct family (my aunt, wife, nieces, and cousins) to start this campaign in order to help them to pay part of the huge billing of the hospital, which so far is not clear as the case is really complicate and each day keeps growing.
As the money is available, it will be transfer to his older brother account who is the responsable of the payment at the hospital.
