Memorial for Martin

Hi,

as most of you know, my dad was unwell for the past year and sadly passed away on July 28th. He was doing so much better but unfortunately things took a turn for the worse overnight on Wednesday 27th and I didn’t make it in time to say goodbye. I took the first flight out to Gibraltar from London that morning and will need to fly back to London before the funeral can take place due to complications with the crematorium. I will then fly back to Gibraltar again for the funeral which will hopefully take place next week sometime. Flights alone will cost me £1000+.

My dad was a lover of art, music, history and had the best sense of humour. Towards the end of his life he became one of my best friends and honestly my life won’t be the same without him. He was hilarious, stubborn, clumsy, goofy, incredibly intelligent and so many other things.

he wanted so much more from his life. He wanted to come back to London, to meet my cat who means the world to me, he wanted to travel and create and I wish more than anything that I could have given him that.

Now that he’s gone, I want to be able to fulfil his wishes. He wanted his ashes to be scattered in Spain, Northampton, London and turned into jewellery I can wear forever.

im raising funds to help me fulfil his wishes, help with with travel costs to these destinations, towards the flights I’ve already purchased, help my family with funeral costs (flowers, urns, plaques etc) and other expenses.

we come from very humble beginnings and even though I’m fortunate to live in a beautiful little flat in London and have been financially independent for many many years now, I do need a little helping hand.

anything you can donate would be so greatly appreciated. My dad was a very proud man, a grafter, an east London cockney builder and would hate to see me asking for a helping hand but sometimes it’s just necessary.
