My name is Courtney

I am the proud momma of a relentlessly determined 12 year old peyton

a year ago peyton was diagnosed with
Epilepsy in functional neurological disorder
while we are able to treat the epilepsy with medication. There is no medication that works for the FND. However aggressive, speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and behavioral health is a major key to recovery

This is our now our third impatient Rehab rehabilitation stay and at time everything isn’t covered via insurance !!

we have tried multiple ways of fundraising and
now need you to become apart of our village and HELP if you can

she will be discharged from inpatient to out and this is where your support is needed most

below are just a few of the symptom she faces on a daily

Movement and Coordination: Weakness or Paralysis: This can range from a mild feeling of weakness to complete inability to move a limb or part of the body. Tremors, Spasms, Jerks: Uncontrollable shaking, twitching, or jerky movements can occur. Functional Tics: Repetitive, involuntary movements or sounds, similar to tics. Gait Disturbances: Difficulty walking, dragging legs, or sudden knee-buckling. Loss of Balance: Trouble maintaining balance. Episodes of Unresponsiveness: Similar to faints or seizures, but not due to abnormal brain activity. Sensory Symptoms: Pain: Chronic pain or headaches, including migraines. Numbness or Loss of Sensation: A feeling of numbness or inability to sense touch in a specific area. Vision or Hearing Problems: Double vision, blindness, hearing loss, or difficulty with speech. Speech and Swallowing: Slurred Speech: Difficulty articulating words. Difficulty Swallowing: Feeling like something is stuck in the throat, or difficulty swallowing. Speech Disturbances: Whispering, hoarseness, or a change in voice quality. Cognitive and Behavioral Symptoms: Memory Problems: Difficulties remembering things, or recalling information. Difficulty Concentrating: Poor focus and attention. Fatigue: Extreme tiredness or lack of energy. Dizziness: A feeling of lightheadedness
