Brother's brain surgery in Thailand

Story

Hi everyone,My name is Phimsuda Yaemchat. I'm here to ask you to help raise money for my brother in Thailand. His name is Sahawat Yaemchat or Moo-dang. He is 31 years old. I haven't seen him for over 6 years since I left the country to The United states. Unfortunately, I went back on Jan 25th 2016 to see him in the hospital unconcious. On Jan 22nd, he had a brain surgery due to Cerebral Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM) -- this condition is rare and present at birth. When he was younger, he was the one that always had health problems. He had bad headaches and unstable blood pressure. When he was 20 years old, he was diagnosed with epilepsi.  My parents took him in to the hospital, the doctor said he can take pills to slow it down or have a surgery. He didn't have surgery then because he was too young to go through with that. So he had been taking pills for a long time. But this time his condition gotten worse. Before the surgery, he had a paralysis on the left side of the body. The doctor said the survival rate in my brother's case is 50/50.He had surgery on Jan 22nd.  The doctor performed the Embolization using glue to stop the blood flow. But in the same day  right after that his brain got swollen after the surgery. So the doctor took out part of his skulls twice to let the brain swell out. He  had  hydrocephalus, water in the brain. He also had infections so he recently had a shunt to relieve the pressure. Until now he is still not fully awaken yet. He is in a vegetative state. He stayed in ICU close to 4 weeks. Some of his treatments and medications were expensive as they were not from the local hospital and won't be covered by insurance. Now he is on the way home from the hospital in Bangkok to my hometown. He will be taken care of in the hospital to recover and go home when he is ready.  Which it can take 6 months to recover and we won't know how much he will funtion until he wakes up.Moo-dang is a very sincere and the kind person that I've ever seen in my life as everyone knows. I and my family will be very appreciative in your kindness of helping him with donation, prayers and any encouragement.I'll keep everyone posted on his condition. And please help him by sharing this page to people that you know as much as you can. Thank you!The Yaemchat's family

Hi everyone,
My name is Phimsuda Yaemchat.

Now he is on the way home from the hospital in Bangkok to my hometown. He will be taken care of in the hospital to recover and go home when he is ready.  Which it can take 6 months to recover and we won't know how much he will funtion until he wakes up.

Moo-dang is a very sincere and the kind person that I've ever seen in my life as everyone knows. I and my family will be very appreciative in your kindness of helping him with donation, prayers and any encouragement.

I'll keep everyone posted on his condition. And please help him by sharing this page to people that you know as much as you can.
