Witness Meachie’s Amazing Journey

Donation protected
Greetings Friends, Family and everyone who has been or will be touched by Demetrius Workman,

We are reaching out to you on behalf of our beloved mother, sister and aunt, Demetrius “Meachie” Workman.  “Meachie” had a massive stroke the morning of September 29, 2017 while doing what she loved most; taking care of and teaching children.  Meachie was a self-employed Daycare home provider with eight beautiful pre-school children that just loved “Ms. Meachie”.   She has two beautiful talent and caring children a daughter in Valdosta University and a son South Gwinnett High School.  She is their sole provider and recovery is extremely important to the wellbeing of her family.

After being admitted, Meachie had several setbacks from needing a hematoma craniotomy, which they removed part of the skull on the left side of her head to allow the brain to swell without causing any more damage to batting pneumonia.  It was touch and go for a minute but God had blessed her and her family by giving her the strength to fight and preserver.  The true blessing has been witnessing her will and fight to get better.  However, the stroke has affected her speech and has limited her mobility on the right side. Meachie needed to receive aggressive therapy to get her back to a wonderful functioning life with her children.

After 3 months of being in the hospital and with the power of prayer Meachie was admitted into the Shepherd Center in Atlanta on 1/5/18, which is one of the top 10 rehab facilities.   The family appreciates all the help and kindness we have received from those touched by Meachie.  You will forever be in our gratitude.

We are asking that you share Meachie’s story with your friends and loved ones through social media because we will need your help to raise money for her care. We will need assistance with renovating her home to make it handicap accessible and provide nursing care for her day to day living.

We already received one miracle, her name is Meachie and she’s a fighter. With your help she will be able to live her life and continue to help others.   We would like to thank you for taking the time to read about “Meachie”. We understand money is tight, however, any donation you can give is appreciated.
