<div>We are excited to be holding The Great Running Challenge 2026 at Witham St Hughs Academy on Monday 12th October 2026!
</div>

<div>Our Great Running Challenge is all about getting active, having fun, supporting one another and celebrating our children’s enthusiasm for being active.
</div>
<div>Every pupil in the school will take part during the school day, with children completing a distance appropriate to their year group:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>EYFS (Reception): 300 metres
</div>
<div>KS1 (Years 1 &amp; 2): ½ mile
</div>
<div>KS2 (Years 3, 4, 5 &amp; 6): 1 mile
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The children will be encouraged to do their best, but most importantly, we want them to have fun, get active and enjoy taking part.
</div>

</div>
<div>How Can You Help?
</div>
<div>We are kindly asking families and friends to support our children by making a donation to their designated year-group GoFundMe page.
</div>
<div>Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference.
</div>
<div>Your support will help us continue to develop sport and provide exciting opportunities for all our pupils.
</div>

<div>Children will have the opportunity to come to school wearing their sports clothing or, if they wish, dress as their favourite sporting hero. They could come dressed as a footballer, athlete, gymnast, cricketer, rugby player or any other sporting inspiration.
</div>

<div>There will also be prizes to add to the excitement, including:
</div>
<div> A prize for the year group that raises the most sponsorship
</div>
<div> Individual prizes for some of the best-dressed sporting heroes
</div>

</div>
<div>The challenge will give our children the opportunity to work together, support one another and help their year group reach its fundraising goal.
</div>

<div>What Will Your Donation Support?

<div>All money raised will support our pupils and help develop sport and wider opportunities at Witham St Hughs Academy.
