With Cherie’s Recovery

As many of you know my mom was visiting us here in El Paso. After not feeling well, having severe bad headaches and a series of events. A CT scan showed a large mass on the right side of her brain and was swelling. She declined rapidly, and was immediately admitted to ICU. She has been having a lot of seizure activity. She had to be sedated which led to her needing to be intubated. They did a full body CT scan which shows that she has masses in her breast and liver as well. After finally getting an MRI for a better look the neurosurgeon decided to move forward with surgery. She had the surgery July 9th. He was not able to remove all the tumor from her brain. The diagnosis is stage 4 Glioblastoma. She has started chemo and radiation treatments that will be ongoing for the next 6 to 8 months. The sudden change for our family has been very tough, and we’re doing as much as we can to manage. With my brother here it’s been a house full and we’re all doing everything in our power to support my mom. We’re asking for any type of help to assist in getting through these challenging times.

I am asking everyone that believes in a higher being to please pray for my mom and for healing. We need our mom and my kids need their Gigi.
