Help with Belinda's cancer surgery recovery
Donation protected
In January 2024, Belinda received life-altering news: she was diagnosed with Biphenotypic Sinonasal Sarcoma, an exceedingly rare form of cancer identified just over a decade ago in 2012. This aggressive cancer presents formidable challenges, as it can rapidly spread throughout the face if not detected early. Urgently referred to the prestigious Minnesota Mayo Clinic, Belinda underwent surgery in the first week of February 2024 to remove the tumor. Thanks to early detection, the surgical team successfully excised the tumor via the nasal cavity, sparing Belinda from the need for a craniotomy.
However, the road to recovery has been arduous. Multiple days spent in Minnesota, accompanied by prolonged periods off work without paid time off, and numerous post-operative visits to Mayo have taken a toll on Belinda, not just emotionally but also financially. The necessity of regular check-ups every three months for the next two years looms large, as the risk of recurrence remains high.
Now, we turn to you, our compassionate community, for support. Your generosity can help Belinda alleviate the burden of mounting medical bills and overdue expenses. Your donations, whether made through our GoFundMe page or sent directly to Belinda at 206 N. Kenwood Blvd, Indianola, IA 50125, will make a tangible difference in her journey towards recovery. Let's rally together to offer Belinda the financial relief she needs, allowing her to focus on what truly matters: reclaiming her health and embracing the future with hope and resilience.
