Where to begin.
This has taken weeks and months to consider. I've seen so many deserving campaigns and even donated in the past. I have struggled back and fourth with the idea of posting here and reaching out. Am I deserving enough? How can I ask for help? Who am I to seek others help when so many people are in horrendous situations that I would give anything to change if I could.
My name is Sinead, I'm 35 years old. I've worked almost my whole life and any time free I spent it with my loved ones. I have no idea who I am without work or without them.
In January I was in an accident. I injured my back and as a result I was in excruciating pain I lost feeling to my left leg and my lower organs were affected as a result.
I've been in and out of hospital unfortunately I have no health insurance and I'm not being paid whist I cant work.
My body is screaming with pain. I rely on crutches as a walking aid and my independents is near gone.
I've been told I'm on a public waiting list.
(along with over 500'000 other cases in Ireland) and my heart is broken seeing so many people suffering in pain.
After 7 months I cry myself to sleep every single night and worry constantly how life is going to be.
I know I can have a simple 40mintue operation and have a 88% chance of recovery within weeks but I like many others havent got the money.
The truth behind setting up this page is a selfish one. My sister has stage 4 cancer and all of these days now passing are days that have eaten me Alive.
I cant help her. I cant jump on a weekend flight to the UK just to spend time with her. Time I know that one day will be numbered.
With a massive weight in my chest and tears rolling down my face I'll end by saying. I dont expect anything, I just wanted to post this here with a little hope that I have left in my heavy heart xxx
