WITCHES, WARLOCKS, AND WHEELS: A BIKE FUNDRAISER FOR THE LEUKEMIA AND LYMPHOMA SOCIETY

 

WHAT: A fun, social ride with a Halloween & fall theme that will tempt your taste buds with fall & Halloween themed foods. Yes, there may be some pumpkin spice involved!

 

Costumes and decorated bikes are encouraged!

 

This benefit ride will follow a Progressive Dinner style format. Riders will divide into groups and then rotate from host house to host house in multiple groups. Each stop will offer riders a different food or beverage (or both) with a suggested donation for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

 

PURPOSE: Fundraiser for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in honor of the Bruce Whaley Spirit Ride

 

WHY: Due to COVID-19, the annual Bruce Whaley Spirit Ride, which is a fundraising event for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Midwest Chapter, has been unable to be held for the past 2 years. Kaw Valley Bicycle Club wants to honor the tradition of the BWSR by hosting this special event. All donations will be forwarded to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society with the assistance of the Bruce Whaley Spirit Ride organizers.

 

EVENT DESCRIPTION: A Progressive Dinner on Bikes fit for Witches & Warlocks! Because cyclists love to have fun, socialize, and eat. At the start the riders will divide into groups. Each group will be assigned a different host house to start with and provided an address and suggested route. At the host house, the taste buds will be tickled, donations made and then the next stop will be announced with another map provided. After completing all stops, riders will return to the starting point. Final announcements & thanks will be made at that time.

 

Please join us for this important fundraiser and some Halloween food and fun on bikes!

All participants riding bikes are required to wear a helmet.
All children under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
