Wishing Lauren a Pleasant Recovery
Donation protected
18 year old Lauren Pleasant, a student from Palmer Ridge High School, sustained serious injuries on a hike while visiting her boyfriend in Grand Junction, Colorado. We're thankful there were no head or spine injuries, although she will need surgery to repair breaks in her pelvis, clavicle and both femurs, as well as work on both of her ankles. Lauren is an active member of her community in Monument, CO, and her big heart and kind spirit serve as a role model for her peers, especially her younger brother. She’s a lifeguard who does private swim lessons on the side, and she plans to extend that desire to help people into college, where she plans to become a physicians assistant. Lauren has a giving spirit and a loving heart, and immediately touches the lives of everyone she meets. She makes a lasting first impression, and has gathered a support group of friends despite being hundreds of miles from home. Her injuries will require an extended hospital stay, around a month at the best of estimates, and her family is uprooted until she can recover enough to make the trip back home. Any support given would be support well appreciated, and anything helps. Thank you for your generosity.
