Wishing Healing to Sarah Neubert

Sarah Neubert has been inspiring weaving community through her personal art making and The Weaving Kind  (which she founded in 2015) by her practice of inclusion, love, honesty and compassion. Her passion has lead people from all walks of life to connect through the craft of weaving, a gift that many people cherish on a daily basis. She has taught us all how to appreciate the nuances of natural fibers, the healing powers and the meditative nature of the loom, and the joy in sharing what we've made with others. She is a tremendous encouragement to all of us, a continual inspiration, and she currently needs the help of her community. 

After months of pain, doctors discovered that Sarah has a large cluster of tumors in her right kidney. Since September Sarah has been put through a multitude of tests and scans, and been in and out of many doctors offices. As we all know the MRIs and the CT scans, with or without insurance, are extremely expensive -- not to mention emotionally and physically exhausting. She is preparing for surgery to remove the growths, which will most likely result in the loss of her kidney. Sarah is a recently single mom of two little ones who is supporting herself and her children through her art, which was already challenging before her diagnosis. She will be paying at least $6,000 out of pocket, and will also be missing many income opportunities due to her current physical pain and recovery from surgery. 

Through all of this, Sarah has been transparent in her feelings, profoundly soft yet resilient in her resolve. She has shared with us her triumphs and struggles, always with light, wisdom and love. 

This campaign will hopefully help ease the financial burden that her recent medical expenses have created in her life. Any donations exceeding the fundraising goal will help Sarah with groceries, bills, childcare and subsequent medical expenses as she recovers. She has touched the lives of so many people, and this is an opportunity for us to show her how much she is appreciated and cared for.
