My husband and I have been together for 13 years, married for 11 and been struggling to reach one of our most desired goals which is having a baby. We struggled for 5 years to conceive and much to our delight we were pregnant in the Spring of 2019 which ended in miscarriage at 12 weeks. We were devastated. The miscarriage caused doctors to look more closely into my health and I was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer and had no choice but to have surgery in November to remove the cancer and as a precaution have also some fibroids and tissue removed from my uterus. We were told conceiving would most likely become difficult due to scar tissue left on the cervix and we would need to wait at least another 8 months before even trying again. So fast forward 8 months later and we are right in the middle of a global pandemic that has put us back in the waiting game of continuing any fertility treatments. This whole past year and a half has been emotionally and not to mention financially exhausting however we were given a bit of hope when after months of testing and medications our RE has advised pregnancy could be possible for us via IVF. At first we were ecstatic over the moon filled with joy that we would get our miracle baby but it was short lived when we learned our insurance would not cover the procedure and the out of pocket cost would be well over $20,000. We have a bit of savings but nowhere near what is needed. We are asking for help to achieve our dream of having our rainbow baby, the first grandchild for my husband's side of the family, and our answered prayer.
