Winter Shelter & Care Homeless Cats

Just outside of Saskatoon, there is a large colony of cats and kittens that are hungry, without proper shelter and need help. The harsh Saskatchewan winter is coming and without somewhere to keep them warm, many will suffer and perish in the cold.
Myself, a local veterinarian, along with other committed volunteers and Streetcat Rescue (SCAT) have joined together to set up feeding stations in the area. We now plan to build 30-40 winter cat-shelters so these animals have somewhere warmer than an abandoned minivan to seek refuge inside of this winter.
We are asking for your help in raising awareness and funds to cover the costs of building the winter shelters and continuing to feed the adults and kittens. Any funds not used for the above mentioned would be set aside for spay/neutering in the future to reduce the overpopulation and current situation - the cost of spaying/neutering these animal, along with appropriate medical care, will be immense.
Note: As a veterinarian and feline advocate, I cannot express enough the importance of spaying and neutering all animals. Without spaying and neutering, the cycle of suffering will continue.
There are some factors around this particular situation, specifically mental illness, that have presented challenges in achieving our goal of spay/neutering so far, but we are making headway and moving forward. Feeding and sheltering these animals has helped in gaining trust and will continue to bring us closer towards our objective of safely accessing the animals for spay/neuter and medical attention.

This little orange boy was rescued and was adopted (with his brother) by a local Sasaktoon family. (see him all grown up in the comments section).
This young girl is still living at the location and needs medical treatment.
