Winter Clothing and Gift Drive for DC Youth

Dear Reader,
Many families impacted by gun violence, in addition to suffering tragic and traumatic loss, are often left with severe financial burdens due to burial costs, hospital bills, and/or loss of a financial provider. This year, these hardships have been further exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, which has caused widespread job loss and food insecurity.
This drive will provide holiday gifts and warm clothing to children from families who have been impacted by gun violence this year and are in financial need.
Families are contacted in advance to get children's "wish lists" as well as clothing needs and sizes, ensuring that all gifts are specially purchased for impacted youth.

P.S. A huge thank you to all those who contributed to the 1st drive last winter, which served 13 children (ranging in age from newborn to 12 years-old). Provided gifts included age-appropriate books on grief and loss, winter boots, Paw Patrol toys, PJ Mask toys, art supplies, video games, tablets, science kits, career barbies, family board games, marvel action figures, and much more.
