Winstons ICU Hospitalization

Donation protected

We don’t even know how this all came about, or a complete diagnosis yet. What we do know is that he has stage 1 kidney failure, and pancreatitis which is treatable/manageable. He has had bloody diarrhea for 4 days, severe hydration, along with several other symptoms.  So far the medications and at home care we are able to provide is not adequate, after seeing 3 different vets they’re all recommending we hospitalize him for a few days for stronger IV antibiotic and constant fluids, etc.. This is where we need help because the costs are astronomical and there is no form of payment plans that vets provide. It’s upfront or nothing unfortunately, and we just can’t keep up with the bills. We’ve tried everything in our power to manage this from home but after 3 recommendations to hospitalize him, that’s what we have to do to potentially save his life. They say he is in there fighting them and still has a good chance of coming out of this strong with the right treatments which is hospitalizing him.

He will be discharged tonight as we do not
have the funds to keep him there right now, the doctor is giving him some injections to help him pull through the downward spiral he fell into, and some more meds to add to his regimen. But the ultimate goal is to hospitalize for at least 24 hours for heavy duty treatment, to recover his poor body from this.

Both us, and Winston are NOT ready to give up.  With a little help from his friends, we believe he has a chance of recovery and more time to spendwith his forever family.

Thank you all♥️
