Rachel Knudson and Julie Hartman are spending two weeks in Kenya volunteering at Wings Of Hope Rescue Home. The director and founder of Wings Of Hope Rescue Home is Abby Campbell, Rachel and Abby have been friends for many years.
In Kenya 66% of girls will be subject to some kind of violence before their 18th birthday. Wings Of Hope Rescue Home mission is to empower, educate, and encourage girls ages 12-17 who are pregnant or young mothers in vulnerable unsupported situations where they are facing rejection and where their environment is causing harm or risk to both her and her child. Currently the rescue home is housing 12 girls and 7 babies with 2 babies and 2 pregnant teens on the way. Fund donated will go to housing, schooling, and basic needs for the girls and their children. To send 1 girl to school for 1 term is $150. PLEASE help us support this home to help better the lives of these young girls.
