“Wings of Hope” Ian’s aftermath horse relief SWFL

As President and founder of Wings of Hope Therapeutic Riding Program Inc @ Windsong Farm the horses desperately need a little help! We thankfully have a Barn and roof but damage to most fences throughout the entire property. I have no way to fix them with flooding that is currently covering 80% of our property. 20 horses in all were spared as well as 6 stall barn that remained intact but the 14lesson and special needs horses and a few rescues still need your help! Although our barn made it the pasture must dry out before fences can be checked and repaired and riding program can resume. My ATV was a total loss and it was destroyed when I fell in 4’ deep flood water at canal that washed out sidewalk when trying to get home from barn in North Port last Friday,after flooding washed away bridges to our home . So Trying to determine the damage is impossible without the ATV now. We need help for that! Also,Diesel was sparse and We had been without power for a week until yesterday At our own home which we We’re blessed to have a Generac that ran the oxygen for my mother-in-law but power was also out at the barn until yesterday. We need help with shavings , feed , hay and round pen panels, temp stalls, Canopies and fencing to get them separated. Please they are there the same amazing and kind ,giving ,heart-horses that we trained and competed at FL State Special Olympics for our special needs riders and that have served everybody at our stable on trails and shows From Florida to North Carolina for many many years! We ourselves at home just got power back today and Internet so things have been really rough but we have been out there just like everybody trying to help anyone that we can! Yesterday delivering hay to farms in need in Englewood and Helping neighbors with errands, generators and to get them where they need to go. *Anything that we do not use we are donating to people in need in North port/Englewood/pt Char/Arcadia areas that have been affected by the same as we have!The damage and flooding that Ian Has destroyed is horrible but has taught us so much and that no matter what we should always help each other! Many thanks and we really appreciate everybody that has pitched in to help us take care of the farm while I was flooded in taking care of two elderly and disabled mother and mother-in-law and kids!
