Wingello Fire Relief Fund

The little village of Wingello in New South Wales, Australia, was hit by a firestorm on the evening of Saturday 4 January 2020. By some miracle no one died or was injured but the village has been hit hard. 12 homes have been lost and a huge amount of sheds and property has been destroyed in half of our small village of only 450 people.
The Wingello Village Association in conjunction with the Wingello Village Store are raising funds to assist with the rebuilding effort. The funds will be used to cover the gap between insurance and what is actually needed. Any funds remaining after 12 months will go to the rebuilding of Wingello with new trees and community items.
All management costs and administration are voluntary and there will be NO administration costs.
Your help is greatly appreciated. We are grateful to be alive and that more homes weren't lost. We were sure we had lost over 50 homes but many were saved as if by a miracle. Now we need to rebuild.

This fund is organised by David Bruggeman of the Wingello Village Store located in the heart of Wingello.
The funds will be allocated to those impacted by the bushfire here and overseen by the Wingello Village Association comprised of diverse members of the Wingello community.
Once all of our villagers know the losses they have sustained after insurance coverage we will use the funds to help mitigate that difference. The management of the fund is all on a pro-bono basis.
The funds will be withdrawn from here and placed in the Wingello Fire Relief Fund managed by the Wingello Village Association.
