NorCal fire funds and food raiser

Several months ago, we planned a wine tasting trip through Sonoma and Mendocino.  We have decided to turn this into a trip to bring money and provisions to the thousands of people displaced by the horrible wildfires in the wine country. 

One of the best and most direct resources for folks in that area is the Redwood Empire Food Bank (REFB).  We are collecting non-perishable foods to deliver to the food bank, as well as collecting funds via this gofundme, which we promise will not be turned into the seed money for my long-gestating concept for self-driving orthopedic shoes.

Please consider donating the following by Thursday, October 19th:

• Cash. Loads and loads of it.  This is really the best way to support those impacted, and we will donate 100% of this gofundme directly to REFB.
• Ready-to-eat, non-perishable foods. These foods should be easy to open and easy to eat - many shelters do not have kitchens for heating and preparing food. No glass containers.

Local folks can drop food off at our house and we will be loading up Thursday to take up Friday morning.
