Hey guys, My name is Meto www.instagram.com/metochristo and I’m here to raise money for my buddy Rodiney Santiago. He’s an amazing guy with the biggest heart and is so nice to everyone, so I think its time for all of us to show him how nice all of us can be….and for those of you who know him you know that he’s the hardest worker and always dedicated. Rodiney has a dream and this dream has followed him since he was a kid; he wants to be a pilot. And what an amazing dream this is to have. And guess what ,I think that he will make a great pilot. When I heard about this I encouraged him to go check out local schools here in LA and two days later he already had a list of schools, was doing research and I’ve never seen him so exited. I went with him to check out one of the schools and you should’ve seen his eyes while doing the tour on the planes, priceless :) The ultimate goal here is for Rodiney to get a commercial license one day, the process takes two years, but as of now he wants to get just a private pilot license first and see if he’s really into it and feels comfortable flying a plane. This takes up to 6 months a lot of hard stydying and practice and costs about $12,500. Rodiney told me that it will take him a while to put together this kind of money, he said he will work harder and spend less, but hey I think that we should help him out and have him start this dream right away as he deserves it! And being a foreigner myself here in the US making things happen on my own without the support of my family I know exactly the position Rodiney is in and I really wanna help. We all can help and turn his dream into reality. And Rodiney will give back :) Two of you will be lucky to fly out to the sunny Catalina Island for lunch with Rodiney on a plane that he’s going to fly after getting his license. The donor with the biggest amount and one random donor will have the pleasure to spend the day with this sexy pilot.What Rodiney has to say about this:)Dreams might be hard to be achieved, but that is the point of it. I have always wanted to be a pilot since I was young and till this very moment, I would still stand firm for my ambition and never, ever give up faith and hope to become a pilot to fly, and take off from the ground. It is not just a dream, but a goal in life!
When I was in primary school, I was asked to write an essay regarding my ambition and what I want to be in the future. I can still remember writing and telling the teacher that I want to be a plane driver an International model and a physiotherapist. ….. I was told by my teacher that to became an International model and a pilot I need to speak English and study a lot to fly a plane. At that point I didn’t speak any English and it was impossible because I didn’t have money to go an English school and also to a pilot school in Brasil.
When I grew a little older, I didn’t give up on those dreams. I went to school for physical therapy back home but soon realized that it wasn’t my passion. Moved to Sao Paulo to become a model and from there I got the opportunity to come model here in the US to take my career tot he next level. I can tell you nothing was easy for me, I didn’t speak any English. Fisrt thing i did was going to school to learn English to be able to accomplish what I wanted and put myself out there. And even with my broken English I’ve had great opportunities here that I appreciate and am great full for. I’ve done a lot of modeling and tv shows and today I got back to my passion to help people in the form of personal trainer and it is so rewarding to see people transform and change their lives.I just want to inspire people to work out, stay fit, enjoy life, and share love. If my actions inspire others to #dream more, learn more, do more and become more, then I have have succeeded. And still doing some modeling gigs and a calendar every year that I donate part of the proceeds to different charity organizations. Modeling and being a personal trainer is not a forever career, so lately I’ve been asking myself whats the next step in my life? And this takes me back to that kid back in the days that was dreaming to become a pilot.
I always believe if you keep your faith and you keep your trust, you keep the right attitude, if you're grateful, life will always show you truth and love, because this is what we really are without all the distractions out there. If I raise the money to be able to become a pilot I’ll show my appreciation by giving back to the world somehow as I always do...
