Dear Nesty Realty friends,
As you may know, Wilmington, NC and surrounding areas took a devastating hit due to Hurricane Florence. Our community has been shaken to the core but we are coming together to help the thousands of people in need. We would be grateful beyond words if our Nest friends and colleagues would help us in rebuilding our community by donating to our plan of action to support the following organizations:
Nourish NC is local non-profit that is in desperate need. They provide food for over 900 kids every weekend and during school breaks. With schools being closed indefinitely, NourishNC has been in the forefront to provide more meals to the children and families who need it the most. The thought of children without access to a basic meal in our community hits home for alot of us and tugs at the heart.
United Way of the Cape Fear is partners with over 40 local agencies across New Hanover County and surrounding counties that focus on neighborhoods, education, health and families. They are committing 100% of their local efforts towards Hurricane Relief. Amidst the destruction & vast flooding, the board met with mayor, Bill Saffo, FEMA, hospitals, Red Cross and many others to determine what people need and how to get it to them as fast as possible. They are ensuring every dollar spent is spent wisely. Over the next couple weeks and months, they will be helping rebuild our community by moving the 500+ families who have lost everything from shelters into long term housing.
