Willow's Pathway to STEM

Donation protected
Our names are Jasmyn Wagg and Brittany Dunham and we teach third and fourth grade at the Garret Schenck School in Anson, Maine. As teachers we want the very best for our students and we are invested in helping our students become good leaders, citizens, and all around good people. One of our students has been chosen to participate in this year’s National Youth Leadership Forum Pathways to STEM. This prestigious program is for elementary students who demonstrate maturity, academic excellence, and leadership potential. It offers them unique learning experiences that will give them key skills they will utilize throughout their lives.
This is the first time a student from our school has been chosen and we couldn't think of a more deserving young lady. Willow is bright, passionate about learning, caring, giving, and so much more. She is always doing whatever she can to help fellow students, whether it’s donating a winter jacket for someone who doesn’t have one, donating clothes to another student, or mentoring younger students. Willow has a deep rooted passion for reading and learning, is very artistic, and loves to be outdoors. You should have seen the excitement on her face when she brought in her letter informing her that she was chosen; it really was priceless! She couldn't stop smiling the entire day and she spent a good part of her day researching the program and learning everything she could about it.
All of us involved in Willow’s life would love nothing more than to send her to the forum, but we need your help to do that. The program takes place in Boston, Massachusetts at Babson College for 6 days and nights. The tuition for the program is $2,195, and that’s not including the cost for traveling to and from Boston. The cost of the program is well worth it for the important, lifelong skills that she will walk away with. Help us give this deserving young student the chance of a lifetime. Help us give back to a young lady who at such a young age has been so giving and selfless. She has to register by March 1st so any help you can give is greatly appreciated.
