We are raising money to help support adult artists living with mental illness/substance use in Niagara. All funds raised in this campaign will go directly toward serving our mandate:
Willow Arts Community is a non-profit organization dedicated to removing barriers for artists living with mental illness/substance use to access creative spaces to make & exhibit work, exchange & advance skills, & expand networks. We use the arts as an agent of social change by connecting & engaging the public through exhibitions, publications, & performances to lessen the effects of stigma & social isolation.
The Willow currently has over 200 registered Member Artists total, and over 75 Member Artists accessing our services each season. Your support means the world to so many people who are provided a voice and a sense of belonging through the Willow. The current demand for our programming exceeds our financial capacity. Your donation will make a real difference.
The Willow offers free art classes in a variety of mediums and helps with access to art supplies. A donation of $500 could sponsor hiring a local artist to teach a 6-week art class, a donation of $200 would allow 15 Member Artists access to art supplies for a 6-week art class, and $100 would help us keep our Open Studio materials stocked. No amount is too small, it all adds up!
We thank you for helping us serve our mandate, and invite you to our upcoming public events! To learn more about what we do, please visit our website
