Willis Headstone Fund
Donation protected
My Great Great Great Grandparents, Thomas and Merry Willis, former slaves, and some of earliest Black settlers of Ingham County, lie in rest in Mason's Maple Grove Cemetery without the headstones that they greatly deserve.
Myself, and many of the other descendants of Thomas and Merry ask for your assistance in securing, personalizing and installing 2 headstones for this remarkable couple. The featured photo is a copy of Thomas's Manumission Certificate. (recently donated to the Michigan Historical Archive) Also there is a link below to Merry's Obituary in the Ingham County News.
