Willie Echols was recently diagnosed with MDS (Myelodysplastic Syndrome) which is also known as Preleukemia. He had been receiving treatment but sadly, it developed full blown leukemia. He was a man of faith and stood firm in his fight until his very last breath.
More often than not, we struggle to grasp the thought of "final expenses and arrangements" as it is easy to put such a hard thought on hold. Unfortunately, he did not have anything in place to help pay for final expenses.
Willie Echols was a good man and if you knew him well, he was most likely one of the funniest you have ever known. His family wants nothing more than to honor his final wishes and to give him a proper homegoing.
