Serving Youth in Guatemala

Dear Family and Friends,
We were blessed with two opportunities to serve youth abroad this year!
Update: Our trip to Rwanda, Africa has been moved to October, and since we now have another baby due in December, we won't be going there this year. When the team returns in 2020, we may join them then.
In September, we are going to Guatemala to serve with an organization, Cada Niño , that focuses on orphan care and prevention. To end poverty cycles in Guatemalan families, this organization provides educational and technical training for youth in addition to teaching them God’s Word through Bible classes. We are preparing and leading an amazing team from Freedom Rain Church to teach these Bible classes for a week at two community youth centers in Guatemala. During this time, we will share the gospel in an interactive, hands-on way with the help of translators and the amazing Cada Niño staff. In addition to teaching youth in Guatemala, we will spend time making home visits to their families, bringing them food, fellowship and prayer.
We have a heart to share Jesus with the world as a family. We're preparing our children to minister as well, in whatever ways God wants to use their young lives. They will be alongside us on these trips serving as they can. While we understand the challenges of traveling with little ones, we believe God has no age limit on who He can use.
We are extremely humbled by both opportunities and willing to go wherever God sends us. We believe wholeheartedly in only asking for donations if we're doing everything we can on our end as well. We've already begun selling things in our home to make this mission possible, so know that your generosity is appreciated and being matched by our efforts too! We pray you will consider helping us get there.
