Bill Masters was a 58 year old, hardworking father and husband, extremely loved by his family. He was the sole income provider and was looking forward to retirement in the not too distant future.
His plans suddenly and unexpectedly changed for him and his family in a most devastating way.
Near the end of March 2020 he began to develop flu-like symptoms and went into self-isolation on instructions of Public Health, suspecting he may have contracted COVID-19. Within 3 days his symptoms rapidly progressed to the point where he had trouble breathing and was rushed to hospital by ambulance. He was immediately transferred to ICU and was placed on a ventilator – test results confirmed he had contracted this vicious coronavirus. His wife Lisa, and children Brett and Lauren were unable to visit him as they themselves had to self-isolate because they too were potentially exposed. Because of this highly contagious virus Bill was not allowed to have any visitors and the struggle for his life alone and scared. After a valiant fight, on April 16, 2020 the virus consumed him and he passed away.
His family has been devastated by the loss of this tremendous, loving husband and father. They are caught in a whirlwind of grief and despair knowing they cannot afford the proper funeral that Bill most certainly deserves.
On behalf of the Bill Masters family, we are asking his extended family, friends and strangers alike to open up your hearts to this grieving family and help them through this unimaginable situation.
In these times, there cannot be visitation so in lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to his funeral expenses.
