My dear friend, William Adams's single wide mobile home had a neighboring oak tree fall on it yesterday, crushing about half of it. Will is a hard working laborer 6 days a week, but he still finds time to sing at St. Paul's by the Sea and with the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra Chorus (his mode of transportation is a bicycle). A more incredible tenor, you've never heard. He paid his 25 year old mobile home off last year and had put on a new roof, had the electrical worked on and paid to have a tree owned by the mobile home park cut down due to the threat to his home when they would not do so. The costs to fix his home would be more than it is worth, sadly, and it may well be condemned. The law puts no responsibility on the owner of the land where the tree was. Please, if you can spare a few dollars to help William find another home, it would be greatly appreciated, or, if you have a garage apt. or the like here in Atlantic Beach for him to live temporarily, please let me know. I will be making my pledge in a few minutes. Thank you.
