Will you help me help others!?

For anyone who doesn't know already my name is Jason Prater and I once was a gentleman fully bound by all kinds of life controlling issues. I was born in Greensboro but grew up in Durham North Carolina. At a very young age I dealt with tremendous hurts after the divorce of my parents. I felt out of place and unloved at times. If you have ever heard the saying that "hurt people hurt people"  then you can guess what happened next in my life. I began to not alone hurt myself but everyone around me. I began to claim the streets as mine and as I got older I got involved in all kinds of things I should not have with the main thing being drugs. I started smoking pot at a young age then progressed over the years to a full on crack cocaine addiction that completely stole my life. I became labeled as untrustworthy and dishonest. An evil man. Unloveable etc.. Horrible things. My addiction led me to many incarcerations and heartaches. I became completely lost and bound to this horrific drug.  After years of this back and forth motion God in His great mercy brought me to a place in Jacksonville Florida called Teen Challenge. Teen Challenge is a faith based recovery program that aims and points  individuals to a relationship with the Lord and victory through applying His teachings to their life. This program was a year in length and one of the first things I actually fully completed in years. 
During my stay at Teen Challenge I was called by God to help others just like myself find freedom from the things that have stolen their lives and left them completely bound and hopeless. I responded to this call and pursued a year long internship with the hopes of one day working with this amazing ministry. I am now at that point and ready to press in. I have had some amazing opportunities laid before me and now just need a little help towards some of the tools I will need. What I am trying to do is raise support to help me get a MacBook for this new season in my life where organization, spreadsheets, teachings, and devotions will be prevalant. 
The vision of Teen Challenge is to "Put Hope Within Reach" of every addict. That is huge! But with the help of the Almighty God only a small thing in comparison to what He could do. Teen Challenge is a world wide ministry that is shaking the nations and the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This MacBook will help me with my position and what God has called me to do for my part of the ministry. As a man that was bound but now set free I want others to experience the freedom that I have most wonderfully received. I am asking for some awesome cheerful givers to help sow into my life and what God has called me to do. The Bible says that we are to help the least of these and thats exactly what I want to do. I want to help reach the most helpless and hopeless. So many people consider addicts as worthless and hopeless. I don't! That was me! God turned my life around and if He could do that for me trust me He can do that for anyone. Right now seven addicts die around the world a minute. That's unacceptable. Please consider partnering with me to help others! Trust me your contribution will not return void! 
Finally I just want to thank everyone who is willing to help. You can help me help others three simple ways. First, pray. Pray for me. Pray for the ones who are bound and in addictions. Pray that God will use me mightily for His children and to be just one of the many keys that He will use to help them find freedom. Pray for my faithfulness to this calling and ministry. Secondly, use the amazing resource of Teen Challenge for anyone you may know who is suffering from addiction. Tell them about us and that we are available to help. Hope is here! And Finally I ask for you to please consider giving a finacial gift to help me accomplish this great calling on my life. This MacBook can be extremely useful for me and something I can learn to steward and take care of for years to come. Everything I do is from some sort of electronical device and this will absolutely boost what God has called me to do.
