Will G’s Emergency Medical Fund

Overwhelming doesn't even begin to describe our family situation at the moment. In addition to his health issues, Will was laid off in November. We have exhausted his severance, and had to use our savings and 401Ks years ago for other medical bills. Will had two big interviews in the past few weeks and things were looking very promising. Now, with the two strokes and his current MS fight, it is doubtful that Will can pursue employment. Realistically, he needs to apply for some type of disability. To compound matters, Will has been carrying our PPO insurance through Cobra. We learned at the hospital last week that his Cobra administrator did not receive the cashier's check that Will sent in early May for our May insurance. An investigation is underway and they are working as quickly as they can but we need to prepare for the unexpected medical bills that we will be responsible for with insurance as well as the possibility that Will's recent hospitalization and follow-up bills may not be covered at all.
