Will Coperine's Medical Bills
Donation protected
Will Coperine was born to two wonderful parents, Dan and Danielle on June 28th , 2017. Danielle had to have an emergency c section and once the baby was out, he was blue. He was diagnosed with Transposition of the Great Arteries (TGA). This is a heart defect where the large vessels that carry blood from the heart to the lungs, and to the body are improperly connected. Essentially, the connections in the heart are "swapped." Late in the evening, on his first night, Will had a procedure called a balloon atrial septostomy. This opened a pathway in his heart to allowed him to start circulating oxygenated blood but this is a temporary fix until he is strong enough for open heart surgery to fix the defect. Doctors are hopeful that they can perform surgery next week. Luckily, The Coperine's are close to Boston and Will has a team of the best pediatric cardiac surgeons in the world at Boston Children's Hospital caring for him. As we can all imagine though, there is a long road ahead and a costly one. If you'd like to help support the Coperine's with their medical bills, feel free to donate whatever you'd like. All funds will go directly to Will's care and recovery. If you'd like to offer prayers, support and well wishes please continue to use the CaringBridge site set up under Dan Coperine's name. There will be updates on Will's progress there as well. Thanks for your prayers and support for Will and the Coperine family during this time.
