WildWood Beltaine Celebration 2017

Beltaine is a seasonal festival celebrated by many modern pagans. It honors the sacred sexual self and the emergent nature of spring.
For us folk in the Brisbane WildWood tradition, a yearly festival is organized by a team of dedicated volunteers. The festival includes a Faery Parade through the city followed by a public Ritual in the Botanic Gardens during the day, and a private Event in the night.
There are costs that go into running this weekend long festival, such as ribbons, decorations, ritual materials, food and drinks, entertainment and spiritual services.
It is the 9th year of hosting this event, and each year funding it is a juggle, often with the bulk of the costs falling on just a few individuals.
We wish for it to last well on into the future, and for it to grow as we grow. We absolutely cherish the opportunity to continually offer this celebration to the wider community. We kindly ask for a donation to ensure the sustainability of this festival.
All money raised will go directly into the running costs. Any extra we make on top of that will be portioned into 2 funds - one portion as a nest egg for next year's event, and the other portion will be donated to Open Doors Youth Service in Fortitude Valley. Our queer brothers, sisters and other are vital to the world, and we would like to offer this donation as a token of our support and allyship.
Please do not share this publicly - this will only be circulated amongst people who are connected to the WildWood Brisbane Beltaine evening event. Funds raised will help cover the public day ritual as well as the evening, but the night event is still private in order to keep it safe and managable by the volunteers.
