Wildlife Warrior needs help after cancer

CJ Carrington is the co-founder the Wild Heart Wildlife Foundation in South Africa. She’s one of those people who gives and gives to others, without asking for anything in return. She is dedicated to doing whatever it takes to find food, medicine and equipment to take care of sick, injured and orphaned animals.
I’ve recently become aware of just how much she is struggling with the after-effects of radiation and surgery for breast cancer. She needs our help to get the medical care she desperately needs to recover.
In 2017 she was diagnosed with breast cancer With no health insurance, she was treated at the government run hospital in Johannesburg. She underwent radiation treatments and a mastectomy. Despite being told that she would receive an implant, this did not happened. Instead, the doctors opted to try an experimental reconstruction technique that involved a slice across her abdomen for a skin graft, and then harvesting fat from her thighs, back and hips, to use as filling for the breast. This method requires multiple surgeries, that she is still enduring, and has left her with multiple, extremely painful scars. The radiation caused burns in her chest and disintegration of some of her teeth.
I’m excited that we have found a dentist who is willing to do the repair work that CJ’s teeth require, for a somewhat reduced cost. Time is of the essence as CJ's teeth continue to deteriorate. This campaign is to raise money for those dental procedures, as well as the ongoing costs associated with the reconstruction surgeries. Any additional funds will go to the Foundation, to continue caring for the animals.

Just to show what kind of person she is: even as she was undergoing treatment for her own cancer she was helping others.
One day she heard a woman crying. When she went to investigate she met Favour, and her baby Godswill. The infant had a massive tumor growing on the back of his head. The doctor was telling Favour that there was nothing they could do for her son and she should essentially take him home to die.
CJ immediately started a fundraiser for Godswill, found doctors who would do the surgery and provided a safe home for the family to move into.
On her FB page she wrote: "Maybe the entire reason for me being alive, was to save the life of a child. And that would be enough."
CJ is great at taking care of others. She needs help to take care of herself. The people and animals she cares for need her, and she needs us.
