Wildlife refuge - koala land purchase

Twin Falls is a registered Australian Wildlife refuge (an inperpetuity agreement on our land title!) with the Dept of Land and Water Conservation (now Dept of Environment and Conservation). We have previously planted 250 koala food trees on our refuge to assist our koala population, however, with recent fires on the Mid North Coast - we have lost some of their precious habitat and have the oportunity to purchase an additional 100acres to add to the refuge. This land cannot be built on and would provide an excellent area to plant many more food trees as it is currently cleared!

This is a limited offer from an adjoining landowner and we hope with your support to make a difference and give our koalas a future. Given the recent support for the Port Macquarie koala hospital (which is great!) we can also make a difference by increasing their habitat as this is where they live! We are in the Hastings Hinterland which is west of Port Macquarie. This is not the full purchase price and we will also contribute to that and purchasing trees. If we cannot make the target the funds will still be used to assist our koalas.
